Jamaica - tourism industry is top notch!
So it has been a busy time with visitors! I love each set of visitors as they are all different and have different expectations and things they would like to do, each one allows me to customize their events to them and allows me to expand my experience on the island.
We had Nancy visit from Montreal who was very interested in all things that grow in Jamaica, she wanted to experience all the fruits, vegetables and cuisine of Jamaica, she did her research before arriving and knew more about the fruits and vegetables than I did, her favorite places to go were fruit stands and grocery stores, I look at grocery shopping in a whole new light.
My Aunt and Uncle from Minesing, Ontario arrived and they were just happy to have warm weather and sun allowing for us to explore some down time, beach time and of course a day of shopping with my aunt, we of course went to the Bob Marley Museum and Port Royal, we experienced a Valentines day dinner cruise with LooseCannon @LooseCannonTours and a trip to St Elizabeth to YS Falls which allowed us to ZipLine, waterfall crawl, and a beautiful dinner on the beach. We also did the Saturday in Ocho Rios with the Cool Runnings Crew - we love this snorkel, cruise, climb and party home tour, it is one of our favourites and we do it again and again!!!
Now we have my cousin, her husband and adorable 1 year here from Barrie, Ontario and she has arranged us with our very own hashtag - #CasaDaRosaJA - I have researched for things to do with a baby I was concerned for them as I wasn't sure there was much we could do, but Katrina assured me that they would be more than happy to just enjoy #CasaDaRosaJA but we have been lucky!!! We went to Ocho Rios and found a beautiful new place, Turtle River Falls and Gardens it was a beautiful day of waterfalls, swimming and a bird sanctuary - where we were greeted by the most magnificent Peacock and friendly Macaw Parrot - it was a wonderful time, then of course it was off to Margaritaville for beach, food and drinks before the trek home. We have also been to my personal beach favorite Boardwalk Beach a quick 45 mins drive from home. Plenty of pool time as baby loves the water!!! She is our new poster child for 2018. Today we are off to the zoo - yes Kingston has a Zoo I will report on that in my next blog.
There is so much to do here and I know we are just starting to discover things and can't wait for more adventures with new visitors towards the end of the month!!
Come to Jamaica and Feel alright!
